What is ProcesALL Academy?
Academy ProcesALL will be an exclusively academic and training space in which we will create a study community on the new Labor and Social Security Procedural Code.
Who will participate?
This space will be attended by our trial lawyers and the lawyers of the litigation teams of our clients with whom we have permanent dialogue in litigation and procedural matters. Occasionally, guests from the Judicial Branch or universities may also participate, since this is an exclusively academic and formative space.
For this purpose, each invited client will receive a registration form to register the lawyers that will be part of Academia ProcesALL, up to 3 lawyers per company.
When and how will the sessions be held?
The sessions will be heldvirtually via TEAMS on Wednesdays every 15 days, between 5:00 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. The schedule of the sessions and the agenda will be shared with the registrants.
Who will lead the sessions and how will they be conducted?
The sessions will be led personally by our Litigation and Training Managing Partner, Carlos Arturo Barco Alzate, in the form of a master class, seminar or discussion, depending on the pedagogical strategy selected for each session. Eventually, other lawyers from Álvarez Liévano Laserna or external guests may lead the session, as decided.
Carlos Barco's teaching experience includes professorships in labor law, constitutional law, labor procedural law, evidentiary law and labor cassation, at undergraduate and graduate levels at institutions such as Universidad Javeriana, Universidad de los Andes, Universidad Sergio Arboleda, Universidad del Norte, Universidad de la Costa, Universidad de Caldas, Universidad de Caldas, Universidad de Manizales and Universidad La Gran Colombia, among others.

Will there be certification?
Attendees who complete at least 80% of the scheduled sessions will receive a certificate of participation in this academic space.
Is there a cost?
No. This is an exclusive academic space of Álvarez Liévano Laserna for its clients and the litigation teams in each of them who have been our regular interlocutors.
Will the sessions be available on a tape-delayed basis?
No. This is a synchronous virtual training space so sessions will be recorded for attendance and quality control purposes but will not be shared with attendees.
However, in case of interest from any of our clients, video capsules will be available at ALL Academia with topics related to our content grid that includes the new Labor and Social Security Procedural Code, at an additional cost.
Will there be evaluations or exams?
No. This will be a space for training and confidence building and each attendee is responsible for his or her learning.
Can external lawyers or lawyers not directly linked to the client company attend?
No. The academic training space offered by Álvarez Liévano Laserna is exclusively for its clients and the lawyers of the litigation teams who are regular interlocutors in procedural and litigation matters.
Will issues related to specific proceedings under Álvarez Liévano Laserna be discussed?
No. The space of Academia ProcesALL will be exclusively academic and will not discuss or share experiences or cases under the name of clients or processes under the representation of Álvarez Liévano Laserna. We will maintain strict confidentiality of the judicial information of our clients and will only make generic appreciations of academic content if applicable.
When does it start?
Upon registration, our sessions are scheduled to begin on Wednesday, February 5,2025, which will be communicated in advance via e-mail.
